Event Details

This four-part Community of Learning (CoL) series examines how leadership, networks, flexibility, and collaboration can equip AIM participating facilities operating in limited-resource environments to implement AIM patient safety bundles (PSB). The CoL will focus on how system strengths can be leveraged to address many of the current challenges, including competing priorities and limited capacity, the solo champion reality, and how small denominators make traditional data analysis a challenge.

Together, we will explore strategies for staff support, customized bundle rollout, and data utilization in low-volume settings. Each session features insights from AIM entities and participating hospitals, offering real-world strategies to strengthen systems for sustainable change:

Session 1: From Solo Champion to System Catalyst: Leading Change in Limited-Resource Perinatal Care Settings
Date:
May 21, 2026 at 3pm ET
Maternal health improvement scales effectively when leaders align their actions with the specific level of the system they aim to influence. This session explores how leadership exists across every level of an organization and serves as the primary engine for sustainable systems change. Join us to discover how supporting leaders at all levels is essential for successfully implementing AIM patient safety bundles, particularly within limited-resource settings.

Session 2: Meeting Facilities Where They Are: Considerations for Customizing PSB Implementation
Date: Thursday July 23, 2026 at 3pm ET
Limited-resource birthing facilities face unique hurdles. This reality calls for creative, scalable approaches to meet health systems where they are while cultivating a shared vision for improving maternal health outcomes. Join us as we explore strategies for building a sustainable quality infrastructure and implementing patient safety bundles by identifying and leveraging existing system strengths.

Session 3: The Power of Connection: Scaling Maternal Care Through Partnerships
Date: Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 3pm ET
Building a provider network relies on relationships that leverage a diverse care system to improve maternal health outcomes. This session will focus on strategies for re‑patterning of relationships to cultivate systemic change by engaging community services beyond the birthing facility to support the implementation of bundles in limited-resource settings/environments.

Session 4: Strategies for data utilization in low-volume settings
Date: Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 3pm ET
In low-volume settings, traditional data dashboards may not be sufficient to tell the full story. Learn about strategies that AIM participating entities have identified for date review and use for quality improvement in low-volume facilities and environments.
