This webinar discusses the impact of standardized screening for current or recent pregnancy on maternal outcomes as well as shared implementation strategies for mitigating barriers in clinical settings, including the emergency department. Presenters include Alison Haddock, MD and Tiffany Messerall, DNP, WHNP-BC.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the importance and rationale for screening for current and recent pregnancy within one year.
  • Describe strategies for implementing standardized screening for current and recent pregnancy within one year across a variety of settings.
  • Identify at least two resources to use to communicate urgent maternal warning signs to emergency department professionals and patients.
